We collect as little as the site can reasonably function on, and we are open about what that is. This page describes the data that passes through ImageEditReviews, why it is gathered, how long it is kept, and what choices a reader has at any moment about any of it. There is no fine print here; if something looks like it needs explaining, that is a defect in this page and we would like to hear about it.

Information we collect

Three categories, all routine. Analytics: we use Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pieces are being read. Analytics records a hashed identifier, the page viewed, the referrer, and coarse geography — never a name, address, or anything we could use to contact a reader. Cookies: a small consent cookie remembers whether the cookie banner has been dismissed, and Google Analytics sets its own. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies for retargeting. Voluntary submissions: if you write to [email protected], we keep your message and your email address only for as long as it takes to answer you.

How it is used

Analytics tells us which reviews are read and which are skipped, which we use to decide what to commission next. When a reader clicks an outbound link to a partner, an affiliate cookie may be set by that partner so they can attribute a purchase back to us — that is how the site is funded. We do not sell or share visitor data with anyone, and we do not combine analytics data with any other profile or list. The data is used to run and improve the site, and that is the end of it.

Your choices

The cookie banner is the simplest control: declining or ignoring it prevents the consent cookie from being stored. Most browsers also let you block third-party cookies entirely, and Google offers a browser-level opt-out for Analytics across every site that uses it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — access, correction, deletion, or portability of the limited data we hold about you.
